Stripburger #84

This year, Stripburger focuses on silent comics, dedicating two entire issues to them. Words are crutches of comics, Jim Woodring would say, or even laziness, Nicolas Presl would pull a face, and very unnecessary would sing Depeche Mode. Following the wordless 83rd issue, the current 84th issue presents the second part of our selection of wordless comics, featuring contributions from many new talents and fresh discoveries, as well as some familiar friends from our pages. While these comics may be wordless, they don’t have to be silent! The images are so striking, vivid, and loud that they speak to us without the need for words, drawing us into new, diverse, and often surprising realities.
