Una città più che perfetta

Tourism economy, urban transformations and mystified experiences. Originally printed by Rui Silva in Lisbon in 2020, 'A More Than Perfect City' expresses a reflection on housing policies, the exponential growth of tourism, and the cultural sector. Starting from a series of archetypal characters (the landlord, the investment fund, the tourist, and so on) personified using a series of illustrations taken from early 20th century French magazines, the text elaborates a critique of the various actors and their more or less conscious role in the processes generically defined as 'gentrification'.
