Holyvoid

The Mansion Press / · mute

With Holyvoid, Adam Yates offers far more than a simple artbook. The book opens the door to an abyssal universe where each image feels like a fragment of a forgotten cult or an apocryphal scripture. Religious iconography is twisted and transformed into unsettling organic visions: distorted liturgical figures, mutated saints, and sacred architectures slowly consumed by living matter. Yates’ work belongs to the tradition of dark visionary art, echoing the iconic biomorphic tension associated with H. R. Giger. Bodies, symbols and structures merge into dense, hypnotic compositions that feel both ancient and alien. Yet his visual language remains entirely personal—mystical, visceral and almost ritualistic in its intensity.
