About Campeón:
In the stories that make up a sentimental memory, there are always tragic episodes. In this tale of domestic horror, which Jazmín Varela narrates with tenderness and ferocity, an accident marks Campeón's destiny and inaugurates a curse that will affect the entire family. No one with their blood will be able to be happy with a dog.
Jazmín Varela (Rosario, 1988) is an illustrator and tattoo artist. Her fanzine Crisis capillar won the 2016 Municipal Comic Contest, organized by EMR. She has also published the books Guerra de soda, Tengo unas flores con tu nombre, and Cotillón, all in Maten al mensajero. She has contributed to the anthology El volcán. A present of Latin American comics (EMR, 2017) and Pibas (Hotel de las ideas, 2019).
