Presentación del sello Magia

This Friday we'll be receiving the visit of the big bosses of Magia, Alicante's new label, and as they explain their intentions for the future, we'll celebrate it with some great music and having Moritz.

MAGIA is a small label in the Solar System, the Milky Way. We do magic of all colors. From Alicante we materialize in cassettes, zines, screenprints, concerts, exhibitions, videos and things we do not know. Humbly but with the conviction that we dedicate to the magic most of our time.

Musically we are planning issues that they will pass through experimental music, noise, rock, punk, rap and electronics. As for fanzines there will be comics, collage, photography and text. Although in both cases the important are the points at which the border between them is lost.

Art and music have a healing power everyone needs. We just want to have fun and rethink the space we form one next to each other. Before we start we already know that we err, many plans will fall and mutate into other surprises.

Magia (Magic) has always existed. Before modern technology and science to become the new gods, magic and art were the same word. Everyone make magic every day. It serves to get things but to give each our own meaning to what we have around. Magia, the label, does not attempt to provide answers, but to share our questions.

MAG # 001 - FANZINE "CAMBIO MÁQUINA POR PIANO DE COLA"

In December 2014 the pianist Carlos Izquierdo shared an incredible find with Nacho Cordoba, who had recorded his first album, "Campo Zero". A link to a publication Milanuncios.com where someone wanted to change his "machine" (an excavator Case 420 Skid Steer Loader used for demolition of buildings) for piano "by the same value." Nacho could not get an idea of ​​the head: "Who is this man and why he decided to leave the weight of the machine and change it to the piano?". That is the question we try to answer in his new fanzine through ownership, history, speculation and plot points: Pianists freejazz, child exploitation, classical composers, class struggle, reinterpretations of Baroque counterpoint, death masks , stained hands, easy methods of initiation, Luddites, lines of destiny in the palm of your hand, industrial revolution, evictions, demolitions, removals, anarchists, the coal ship Stanbrook, operated pianos and black flags without beginning or end in:

MAG # 002 - CASSETTE "FUEGO - VIOLENCIA"

Fuego is the project of noise and improvisation solo Nacho Cordoba with a guitar, pedals, hitting, yelling, cuddling and explosions. An earthquake of noise that seeks a mountain beauty color to burst. A wall of shit. The project has been active since 2011 in various configurations (the solo or duo to quintet) with two self-released albums and concerts by many of Spain. This will be its first edition in physical format. Recorded in a live concert by Edu Comelles (Audioatalaya) on 24 April 2014. Mixed and mastered by Nacho Cordoba between 2015 and 2016.
