"Rosoum" pretends to discover Arab independent comic and its actors to a new audience in Catalunya. It is a proposal that intends to bring together for the first time in Barcelona, four of the most active players in the independent Arab comics scene, who also represent four of the current most interesting projects in the arab speaking world: Lena Merhej, founder of the magazine Samandal from Lebanon (Beirut), Shennawy Mohammed, founder of the Egyptian fanzine Tok Tok (Cairo), Noha Habaieb, founding member of the Tunisian magazine Lab619 (Tunis) and Mehdi Annassi, a founding member of the Moroccan fanzine Skefkef (Casablanca). For a week, representatives of the four aforementioned publications cited in Barcelona will colaborate to produce comics and illustrations. They will be exhibited on November 28 at the Fatbottom Bookstore in the barri del Raval. It will be the occasion to meet with the local public interested in discovering the production of Arabic comic.
