The latest insanity of Irkus measures 160 x 120 cm
Edited by Terranova, this is the first poster of a special series of giant artist posters based on the French format of classic affiche of 120 x 160 cm folded in 16 for distribution.
Terranova curates an artist a poster of these measures, always focused on the concept of the vindication of the classic book.
For this first edition of our Giant Posters, the illustrator Irkus (M) Zeberio and the editor, Luis Cerveró, went for lunch one day, near the Raval studio where Irkus draws (and prints with his underground printing studio Máquina Total). The conversation, a bit depressing, went about the decline of reading in the new generations and the future that lies ahead for humanity.
Such a happy approach to the current situation of reading served to irkus to create this apocalyptic and Orwellian illustration, which mixes direct references to classical paintings, biblical characters, and Amazon's imperial revolution, all in three direct Pantone inks fuchsia, black and silver.
